Newport News student earns Camper Scholarship
The Daily Press of Newport News wrote about the winner of a Virginia Foundation for Community College Education scholarship in a recent higher education news round-up:
Kellie Gibbons of Newport News is the recipient of the first Kathy Camper Legacy Scholarship, sponsored by the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education. Gibbons received $1,000 toward her pursuit of an associate’s degree in information technology at Thomas Nelson Community College.
