I have read that Virginia has a guaranteed admission agreements with 4 year private and public schools after earning an Associate’s degree at a community college. Are there specific stipulations for G.P.A.? I have also heard if you transfer to a 4 year program with your associates degree the tuition remains the same at the 4 year school. Is this true? Where can I read about it?

I have read that Virginia Community Colleges have an agreement with 4-year public and private schools to accept students. What is the G.P.A. requirement?
I have also heard there is some sort of tuition agreement that would allow a student who transfers in from a Community College to a 4-yr school and pay the same tuition as Community College. Is this true? If so, where can I read about it?

Click on the “Where Transfer Opportunity Begins” icon in the right hand column to read about the 23-plus guaranteed admissions agreements for Virginia community college students to four-year colleges and universities. Each college has its own GPA requirements.
Transfer grants of up to $2,000 may be available for students who started community college in Fall 2007, if they maintain a 3.0 grade point average and demonstrate some financial need.
